In this workshop you will learn how to confidently choose a colour palette for Fair Isle or stranded knitting.With Ragnhild’s knowledge and guidance the workshop group will discuss and practise: How to use the Colour Wheel as a ToolComplimentary ColoursThe importance of contrasting colours in Fair Isle knittingIdentifying warm/cold colours & bold/muted colours.                           During the workshop you will choose your own colour palette from our range of Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift yarn and use colouring pencils to design your own Fair Isle pattern using the chart provided. You will then start working in the round to begin a pair of wrist warmers.Please bring with you 3mm or 3.25mm needles suitable for your chosen method of working in the round, i.e. Double Pointed Needles, 2 x 40cm circular needles or 80cm circular needle for magic loop.

Ragnhild Ericsson is an experienced, prolific knitter and valued member of our established Knit Group.  She willingly passes on her knowledge to all who ask, as is her enthusiasm for the craft. She is known to us as the Steeking Queen as this is a technique in which she also excels. Retired from her background in engineering Ragnhild now spends her time and talent, knitting, painting, golfing and gererally being a really lovely person!
