Elodie-Laure Jiminez will be giving a talk on ‘The birth of Humanity: a deep-time Myth of Sisyphus – an archaeological talk’ at the pop-up Philosophy Café at Stonehaven Library on Wed 4th Mar 2020 at 7pm.

The event costs £3 which will include admission and refreshments.

The Philosophy Café meets in an informal way in libraries and other venues in Aberdeenshire to share opinions about controversial topics. Discussions are supported by a member of Aberdeen University staff and stimulate open minded thinking.

A member of Aberdeen University staff will introduce a topic with a philosophical or social studies theme and everyone is invited to get involved in discussion with a small group of people in a cafe style setting. No prior knowledge of the topic is necessary as most people have some thoughts on the topic. People are free to voice their own opinions as much or as little as they feel comfortable. All opinions are welcome so why not come along and see what it’s like.
