About Stonehaven

Few towns in Scotland have a more stunning setting than Stonehaven. Famous for its New Year’s Eve Fireball Ceremony, dramatic Dunnottar Castle and picturesque harbour, our rugged coastline and town is perfect for exploring and truly is a coastal gem.

TO DO IN STONEHAVEN

Take a stroll along the pebble beach and boardwalk and take in the picturesque harbour. Venture further north to the Highland Boundary Fault Line or south along the cliffs past the Black Hill War Memorial and onto the stunning Dunnottar Castle on its craggy outcrop. Have a woodland walk in the gorgeous Dunnottar woods and discover the Shell Hoosie and Lady Kennedy’s Bath. In the summer months take a dip in the one-of-a-kind heated Art Deco outdoor swimming pool. Indulge in a round of golf on the cliff-top 18 hole course at the Stonehaven Golf Club.
